Commissioned by De Kuiper Infrabouw, Bosman Watermanagement has rebuilt and increased the capacity of the pump installations of PS Haanwijk of Hoogheemraadschap De Stichtse Rijnlanden.
The existing BVOP 35 pumps with a capacity of 21 m3/min have been replaced by two fish-friendly Vision 35CV pumps with a capacity of 25 m3/minute.
In addition to their fish-friendly properties, the Vision pumps are also insensitive to water plants and other forms of pollution that frequently occur in this area. This guarantees trouble-free operation.
During the conversion, the pipework with fittings in the pump cellar and the entire electrical installation were also replaced. The casing that stood on the pumping station was replaced with a stylish top construction and provided with ventilation.
The Haanwijk pumping station pumps water from the Haanwijker Achtervliet (Haanwijk polder) through the Haanwijker voorboezem into the Oude Rijn (Old Rhine).
By installing the Vision pumps, another fish migration bottleneck has been solved and the Hoogheemraadschap De Stichtse Rijnlanden can move forward again for decades.
