In April 2020, the Burgvlietkade pumping station was completed. The Burgvlietkade pumping station in Gouda, South Holland was revised and fitted with new, fish-friendly Vision MC pumps.

The original pumping station was built in 1934 and had an open screw pump with a capacity of 80m³/min. The old pump was in bad condition, and in desperate need of replacement.

The new Vision MC open screw pump has a maximum capacity of 90 m³/min, ensuring the optimal pumping of water. Moreover, the Vision MC pump makes sure that fish can pass through it without a scratch.
